May Gallery Walk Recap | Curated by Barry Blackman
There are spaces that simply host art — and then there are spaces that allow art to breathe.
The Gallery Walks at Wellspring Manor & Spa offer something deeper than a traditional gallery experience. Curated by Barry Blackman, the monthly Gallery Walk invites guests into a world where visual storytelling, wellness, culture, hospitality, and human connection exist in harmony.

Black Expertise was in attendance at the May Gallery Walk to connect with artists, document their stories, and explore how creative spaces like Wellspring Manor are cultivating meaningful experiences for artists and communities alike. Throughout the afternoon, guests wandered through beautifully curated rooms, engaged directly with artists, and experienced the emotional depth behind each collection.
What made the experience especially powerful was the diversity of artistic expression represented throughout the manor. From sculpture and abstract works to wood artistry, portraiture, mixed media, and emotionally layered visual narratives, every artist brought a distinct voice into the space.

More Than an Art Event
What Wellspring Manor has created through these monthly Gallery Walks is far bigger than an exhibition.
It is:
- a cultural gathering space
- a wellness-centered creative environment
- a platform for artistic visibility
- a place where conversations begin
- a bridge between art and community
The atmosphere encouraged guests not only to observe art, but to experience it emotionally and relationally.
Throughout the visit, I had the opportunity to conduct mini interviews with several participating artists, discussing:
- creative inspiration
- artistic purpose
- wellness and creativity
- community impact
- the emotional power of visual storytelling
These conversations will become part of an ongoing “Artists of Wellspring Manor” series through Black Expertise, highlighting artists, creative entrepreneurs, and cultural spaces making an impact through their work.
Looking Ahead
This May Gallery Walk was only the beginning.
Black Expertise looks forward to returning to future Gallery Walks at Wellspring Manor to continue documenting artists, curators, and creative leaders who are shaping meaningful cultural experiences through art and wellness.
Future collaborations being explored include:
- exclusive artist interviews
- creative wellness weekends
- intimate curated dinners
- entrepreneur retreats
- artist networking experiences
- wellness-centered cultural programming
Special thanks to the artists, guests, organizers, and the Wellspring Manor team for creating such an inspiring and welcoming experience.
This space is truly something special.
