🌊 Gardner Robinson | Founder of Y DIVE Inc.

Marine. Mentor. Master Diver. Mission-Driven Leader.

From the football fields of Toledo, Ohio to the frontlines of international service, Gardner Robinson has always lived a life rooted in purpose, strength, and service. A proud graduate of Jesup W. Scott High School, Gardner lettered all four years as a standout varsity athlete and was named All-City cornerback his senior year. But it was his next chapter that shaped the mission he lives today.

After high school, Gardner enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, graduating as Series Honor Man of his platoon. He went on to serve in three countries, two U.S. territories, and briefly aboard the USS Saipan. With his Esprit de Corps intact, Gardner left the Marines with an Honorable Discharge and continued his service as a corrections officer in New York City for over 20 years, including 10 years as a first responder with the Emergency Service Unit.

Yet Gardner’s impact extends far beyond the badge. A mentor, community leader, PTA football supporter, and certified SCUBA instructor, Gardner holds certifications through NAUI, SDI, and the Handicapped Scuba Association, along with credentials in CPR, AED, First Aid, and Emergency Oxygen instruction.

In 2020, combining his love for the ocean with his passion for giving back, Gardner launched Y DIVE Inc.—a nonprofit organization built to empower youth, veterans, and individuals with disabilities through the life-changing experience of scuba diving.

“If you get tired, learn to rest—not quit,” Gardner says, echoing his personal mantra.

With a mission that honors his dream of transforming access to opportunity for all, Y DIVE (You Develop Imagination, Vision, and Empowerment) creates space for people of all abilities to explore the underwater world, conquer their fears, and experience the healing power of the ocean.

Through this work, Gardner is not just certifying divers—he’s building confidence, courage, and community. One dive at a time.
