Where Safety Meets Empowerment—One Shot at a Time

After 14 years of honorable service in the U.S. Military, Andrea Williams understood the true meaning of discipline, duty, and protecting what matters most. But it wasn’t until 2020—a year marked by unrest, uncertainty, and a rising need for community security—that her next mission became clear.

With a heart still committed to service, and a deep instinct to protect her family, Andrea stepped into a space where few Black women are seen: firearms safety and education. She began her own training journey to gain knowledge and confidence in gun handling. But what started as personal empowerment quickly transformed into a broader vision: what if more people—especially in Black communities—had access to this same education and confidence?

Inspired by the instructors who trained her and encouraged her to go further, Andrea decided she wouldn’t just learn—she would lead.

In May 2021, she founded Silhouettes Firearms Training, LLC, and by December 2021, she opened the doors to a full-service training facility designed to educate, equip, and empower.

Silhouettes is more than a place to learn how to shoot—it’s a safe, affirming environment where students become instructors, fear transforms into confidence, and safety becomes a form of liberation. Andrea’s work is centered in professionalism, compassion, and the belief that knowledge is power—and everyone deserves access to both.

Whether working with first-time shooters, families, or aspiring licensed instructors, Andrea continues to create space for empowerment through responsible gun ownership and training.

Her mission is clear: Protect the people. Prepare the community. Pass it on.
