Black Expertise documents Black brilliance. Alongside our paid features, our editors choose a small number of stories to feature themselves, at no cost. You can nominate yourself or someone whose work you admire.

How nominations work

• Tell us about the person and their work using the nomination form.
• Our editors review nominations on a rolling basis.
• Selection is at our editors’ discretion. There’s no guarantee of a feature and no set timeline, and we contact only the nominees we select.

A paid feature is guaranteed and follows a set timeline: send your details within 3 days of paying, receive your first draft within 7 business days of sending complete details, make one round of changes, and see your story published within 2 business days of your approval.
